Job summary

Georgetown University invites applications for a Seasonal Application Reader in Undergraduate Admissions. The role supports holistic reviews of first-year applications, evaluating curriculum rigor, academic achievement, and personal contributions within Georgetown’s standards.

The position is part-time, up to 20 hours per week, with remote work supported during the review period October–March. You’ll work with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions under supervision of a Senior Associate or

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Ability to analyze and synthesize complex information.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Proficiency with technology and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Reliable internet access and private workspace.

Responsibilities

Conduct holistic, contextual reviews of undergraduate applications using Georgetown’s admissions criteria.
Evaluate academic preparation, intellectual curiosity, and personal contributions within context.
Apply institutional standards consistently across assigned applications.
Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported written evaluations.
Participate in training and calibration to ensure alignment with review standards.
Maintain confidentiality and meet productivity and timelines.
