Friends of the Mounts Botanical Garden in West Palm Beach is seeking a Seasonal Guest Services Associate to deliver friendly frontline service in the Welcome Center and Garden Shop during ILUMINA. You will handle guest check-in, tickets, memberships, and retail support.

Ideal candidates are reliable, enjoy interacting with people in a festive environment, and can work nights/holidays while maintaining a positive, professional presence outdoors in Florida weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years in retail, hospitality or customer service preferred.
• Experience in cultural, botanical, or nonprofit settings a plus.

Responsabilités

• Greet and assist guests with a warm, professional attitude.
• Process admissions, event tickets, memberships, and retail sales using POS/CRM.
• Provide information about ILUMINA, MBG events, and Garden memberships.
• Help stock and organize merchandise displays and keep the Welcome Center clean.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and teamwork with staff/volunteers.

The Seasonal Guest Services Associate provides exceptional frontline service in the Welcome Center and Garden Shop during ILUMINA. This position involves guest check-in, ticketing, membership sales, retail support, and general event assistance. Ideal candidates are friendly, reliable, and enjoy interacting with people in a fun, festive environment.

Responsibilities Guest Experience

• Greet and assist guests with a warm, professional attitude.
• Process admissions, event tickets, memberships, and retail sales accurately using POS and CRM systems.
• Provide information about ILUMINA, MBG events, and Garden memberships.
• Handle questions or concerns courteously, referring complex issues to a supervisor.

Retail & Operations

• Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining merchandise displays.
• Ensure the Welcome Center and Garden Shop remain clean, organized, and guest-ready.
• Monitor inventory and report restock needs.
• Support daily opening and closing procedures.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to create a positive team atmosphere.

Qualifications Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
• Experience in cultural, botanical, or nonprofit settings a plus.

Skills & Abilities

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, public-facing role.
• Able to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in Florida weather.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful but not required
