Job summary

The Mounts Botanical Garden is seeking a Seasonal Guest Services Associate to support ILUMINA operations in the Welcome Center and Garden Shop. You will greet guests, handle admissions, tickets, memberships, and retail sales using POS and CRM systems, and share information about events and memberships.

Ideal candidates are friendly, reliable, and enjoy interacting with people in a festive environment, with the ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in Florida weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of retail, hospitality, or customer service experience.
• Experience in cultural, botanical, or nonprofit settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide information about ILUMINA, MBG events, and Garden memberships.
• Handle questions or concerns courteously, referring complex issues to a supervisor.
• Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining merchandise displays.
• Ensure the Welcome Center and Garden Shop remain clean, organized, and guest-ready.
• Monitor inventory and report restock needs.
• Support daily opening and closing procedures.

This position involves guest check-in, ticketing, membership sales, retail support, and general event assistance. Ideal candidates are friendly, reliable, and enjoy interacting with people in a fun, festive environment.

Responsibilities Guest Experience

• Greet and assist guests with a warm, professional attitude.
• Process admissions, event tickets, memberships, and retail sales accurately using POS and CRM systems.
• Provide information about ILUMINA, MBG events, and Garden memberships.
• Handle questions or concerns courteously, referring complex issues to a supervisor.

Retail & Operations

• Assist with stocking, organizing, and maintaining merchandise displays.
• Ensure the Welcome Center and Garden Shop remain clean, organized, and guest-ready.
• Monitor inventory and report restock needs.
• Support daily opening and closing procedures.
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to create a positive team atmosphere.

Qualifications Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
• Experience in cultural, botanical, or nonprofit settings a plus.

Skills & Abilities

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, public-facing role.
• Able to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in Florida weather.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful but not required
