Job summary

Western Grain Marketing LLC is seeking a Grain Handler Technician in Mount Sterling, IL to safely move and store grain and related products. You will operate conveyors, augers, dryers and storage systems while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires physical labor, basic math and record-keeping, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll be part of a team ensuring accurate shipments, inventory control, and clean, compliant facilities year-round.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift or heavy machinery certification.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding work.
• Ability to operate grain handling equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and load grain using conveyors and equipment.
• Operate grain handling machinery and maintain storage systems.
• Conduct moisture and weight checks on grain.
• Monitor inventory and ensure proper storage practices.
• Clean bins, pits and work areas adhering to safety standards.
• Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
