Western Grain Marketing is hiring a Grain Handler Technician to safely manage grain handling, storage, and movement within our facility. You will operate conveyors, dryers, and storage systems while maintaining accurate records and ensuring quality and safety compliance.

The role requires physical labor, a valid driver's license, forklift certification, and strong teamwork. You will work in varying weather and hours to meet production demands and deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or experience in agriculture.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Basic math and computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery.
• Ability to operate, maintain, and repair agricultural equipment safely and effectively.
• Forklift or heavy machinery certification.
• The role involves physical labor and lifting heavy objects.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and hours.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and load grain using conveyors, augers, and elevators.
• Operate and maintain grain handling machinery, including dryers and storage systems.
• Conduct quality checks on grain for moisture, weight, and specifications.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper storage practices.
• Clean and maintain grain bins, pits, and work areas to meet safety standards.
• Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Comply with safety regulations and PPE usage.
• Maintain accurate records of grain shipments and inventory.
