Job summary

Western Grain Marketing LLC is seeking a Grain Handler Technician to safely handle, store, and move grain within a grain facility. You will operate conveyors, elevators, and dryers, perform quality checks, and maintain records of shipments and inventory.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, basic math/computer skills, and forklift certification. Physical labor is expected, with the ability to work in varying weather and hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Basic math and computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery safely.
• Ability to operate, maintain and repair agricultural equipment.
• Certification in forklift or heavy machinery operation.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in variable weather.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and load grain using conveyors, augers, and elevators.
• Operate and maintain grain handling machinery, including dryers and storage systems.
• Conduct quality checks on grain for moisture, weight, and specifications.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper storage practices.
• Clean and maintain grain bins, pits, and work areas to meet safety standards.
• Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of grain shipments, inventory, and operations.
