Job summary

Western Grain Marketing LLC is seeking a Grain Handler Technician to safely manage grain handling, storage, and shipping within our facility. You will operate conveyors, loaders, and storage systems, perform quality checks, monitor inventory, and maintain records while following safety protocols.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Basic math and computer skills for records and inventory.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machinery safely.
• Forklift or heavy machinery certification preferred.
• Able to perform physical labor and lift heavy objects.
• Ability to follow detailed safety guidelines and instructions.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and load grain using conveyors and equipment.
• Operate and maintain grain handling machinery and storage systems.
• Conduct quality checks on grain moisture and weight.
• Monitor inventory and ensure proper storage practices.
• Keep bins, pits, and work areas clean to meet safety standards.
• Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Comply with safety regulations and wear PPE.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory.
