Job summary

Total Wine & More in California is seeking a friendly Cashier to deliver fast, accurate service at the front end of the store. This seasonal role may also involve as a sales associate or merchandiser/stock tasks, reporting to the store management team as part of the Front End Team.

You will process transactions, verify IDs when needed, and promote the loyalty program while helping customers find products. The position emphasizes teamwork, compliance with alcohol regulations, and a positive guest

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Passion for best-in-class customer service and team player mindset.
• 1-3 years of work experience; 1+ years in retail preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including identification verification, payment handling, answering inquiries, promoting loyalty program, and bagging product.
• Greet customers and provide a personalized service, informing about products and services.
• Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment.
• Complete cross‑functional responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
