Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Seasonal Journeyman Mechanic to join the fleet maintenance team in Omaha. You will service a range of vehicles, including delivery vans, tractors, and trailers, working with diesel and gasoline propulsion systems.

You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic brake, and engine control systems while meeting DOT requirements. The position offers weekly pay and a benefits package, with shifts including 1st, 2nd, or 3rd, and schedules varying by location.

Qualifications

• Current automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B or A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) - Preferred.
• Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis.
• Available to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
• Wears personal protective equipment as required.
• Works in variable temperatures and humidity.
• Communicates effectively to perform tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements for job assignment.
• Operate delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers.
• Perform manual handling tasks as required by tasks.
• Use power and pneumatic tools.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area.
