Job summary

UPS is seeking a Mechanic Journeyman to join our fleet maintenance team. You will maintain a diverse range of vehicles, including delivery vans, tractors, and trailers, with diesel/gas propulsion. You will troubleshoot and service hydraulic, air, electrical systems and engine controls.

The role requires willingness to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts, Monday–Friday or Tue–Sat variations, and you must bring your own hand tools. U.S. citizenship or legal work status is required.

Qualifications

• Current automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B or A CDL - Preferred.
• Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis.
• Available to work varying shifts, overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, climbs ladders and stairs and stands for long periods.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
