Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal Operations Technical Specialist to ensure operational readiness of the seasonal tax office network. You will support setup, openings, closures and office relocations, install hardware and maintain brand standards across multiple locations, and coordinate with district leaders and technology teams.

You will perform custodial tasks, handle routine maintenance, and help ensure inventory accuracy while delivering supplies and tracking equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow direction while working independently in a field-based environment.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 55 pounds or more.
• Basic technical knowledge: setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware and office tech.
• Flexible schedule based on business needs in a fast-paced seasonal role.

Responsibilities

• Support the setup, opening, closure, and relocation of seasonal tax offices.
• Install hardware and ensure brand compliance (planograms, window clings, signs).
• Perform custodial and basic maintenance tasks to keep offices ready for operation.
• Install, remove, and support PC hardware across locations with guidance from DOCs/TIAs.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware issues and document incidents in the case system.
