Job summary

Michaels in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a store associate to help customers, provide fast checkout, unload trucks, stock shelves, and keep the store well-merchandised. You will assist shoppers, direct them to products, and enroll them in rewards programs.

The role emphasizes friendly service, adherence to SOPs, and participation in omni-channel tasks like BOPIS/SFS. Applicants should be able to stand for long periods, lift items, and work nights, weekends, and early mornings as needed.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred
• Able to stand for long periods
• Ability to lift/move light to medium loads as needed

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Maintain merchandise recovery and store recovery to ensure in-stock conditions
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; interact respectfully and professionally
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
