Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in e-commerce, retail operations, customer service, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify is required.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily customer inquiries regarding orders, shipping, returns, exchanges, and product questions.
• Process returns, exchanges, and refunds per company policies.
• Follow up on customer inquiries and outstanding order issues for timely resolution.
• Provide friendly, solutions-oriented customer support.
• Pick, pack, and ship daily e-commerce orders accurately and efficiently.
• Generate shipping labels and prepare packages for outgoing shipments.

Cotton Candy LA is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Seasonal E-Commerce Assistant to support our daily e-commerce operations during the busy holiday season.

This is an on-site hands-on role will focus on customer service, order fulfillment, returns processing, and inventory management. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced fashion environment. This is a seasonal, part-time position in Los Angeles requiring approximately 25–30 hours per week.

This position requires availability during peak holiday shopping periods, particularly the days leading up to and following major holidays. Our office will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day; however, reliable attendance on scheduled workdays surrounding these holidays is essential to support order fulfillment and daily operations.

Role & Responsibilities

Customer Service & Returns

• Manage daily customer inquiries regarding orders, shipping, returns, exchanges, and product questions.
• Process returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies.
• Follow up on customer inquiries and outstanding order issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide professional, friendly, and solutions-oriented customer support.
• Pick, pack, and ship daily e-commerce orders accurately and efficiently.
• Generate shipping labels and prepare packages for outgoing shipments.
• Monitor order statuses, shipping delays, and fulfillment discrepancies.
• Support increased order volume during promotional periods and holiday sales.

Inventory Management

• Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking incoming merchandise.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
• Inspect and restock returned merchandise.
• Identify inventory discrepancies and assist with stock adjustments.
• Maintain a clean and organized inventory and fulfillment area.

General E-Commerce Operations

• Utilize Shopify for order management, refunds, returns, and inventory updates.
• Assist with daily e-commerce operations and administrative tasks.
• Communicate order, inventory, and fulfillment issues to the appropriate team members.
• Provide additional operational support as needed.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, E-Commerce, or a related field required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in e-commerce, retail operations, customer service, or a related field.
• Previous hands-on experience with Shopify required.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
