Job summary

Michaels Stores is seeking an in-store associate to deliver friendly service and help customers find products. You will handle checkout, assist with Omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS), and participate in stocking and merchandising to keep the floor in stock and well-presented.

The role requires standing for long periods, moving around the store, and the ability to lift boxes. A customer-focused attitude and flexibility to work nights/weekends are beneficial.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move around the store.
• Ability to lift and carry boxes and representative stock handling.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast, friendly checkout experience with cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers in rewards programs and enrollments.
• Educate customers on VOC surveys.
• Assist with BOPIS and SFS processes.
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram compliance.
• Maintain merchandise and store recovery, including returns and go-backs.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Cross train in framing selling and production.
