Job summary

Michaels Stores in Charlottesville, VA is hiring a team member to help customers, stock shelves, and ensure a smooth checkout experience. You will engage shoppers, assist with rewards programs, and participate in truck unloading and stock replenishment to keep the store well merchandised.

You will also support Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes, while adhering to SOPs and safety guidelines to provide excellent service and a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods and move around the store.
• Willingness to learn and engage customers about programs.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Maintain store recovery and merchandise availability; support go back and returns.
• Complete Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties; support shrink and safety programs.
