Job summary

Mt. Baker Ski Area, Inc. is seeking a Custodial Lead to support daily custodial operations on the mountain. You will coordinate staffing, lead a team, and ensure clean, safe facilities for guests and staff while adapting to fast-paced conditions.

The role emphasizes leadership, training support, safety, and effective communication within the team to maintain high cleanliness and guest experience throughout the season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lead and work as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
• Ability to communicate tasks and system adjustments efficiently and positively to a team.
• Willingness to learn.
• Working in a mountain environment is physically demanding.

Responsibilities

• Adjust staffing levels day-to-day as needed.
• Work with mountain managers to determine next day staffing needs.
• Reduce staff throughout the day as warranted by business.
• Encourage and maintain confidentiality and staff policies and procedures.
• Conduct and/or assist in conducting initial & ongoing staff training.
• Monitor staff performance, provide additional trainings as needed, report information back to the department managers.
