Job summary

Mt. Baker Ski Area, Inc. is seeking a Building Maintenance Assistant to uphold a safe, functional environment across base areas. You will perform repairs, inspections, and routine maintenance while supporting snow removal and waste management during peak periods.

The role requires a flexible schedule and strong safety awareness. Starting wage is $22.00/hr DOE. Candidates must be 18+, hold a valid driver’s license, and be able to work in winter conditions, including heights and confined spaces.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, weekends, and peak business days during November–April.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs (e.g., plumbing, painting, drywall).
• Complete inspections and routine preventative maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Conduct grounds maintenance including snow removal and waste management.
• Assist in base area operations during peak times and coordinate with supervisors on repairs.
