The position requires 16+ years of age, some retail and kitchen experience, and a Food Handlers Certification. Flexible hours include weekends and holidays, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older at the time of employment.
• 1 year retail sales experience, preferred.
• 1 year food prep and/or kitchen operations experience, preferred.
• Valid Food Handlers Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail systems, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand by creating memorable, educational experiences.
• Stay current on products through training and self‑learning.
• Lead a Guest Obsessed culture in kitchen and retail areas.
• Assist chefs with class execution to drive enrollment.
• Help meet monthly sales goals and contribute to store revenue.
• Set up/break down classes; prepare mise en place.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishes, equipment and workstations.
• Follow food safety standards and sanitation regulations.
• Maintain inventory and control costs.
