Job summary

Sierra View Medical Center is seeking a Seasonal Outpatient Coordinator/Scheduler for per diem. The role runs 8 weeks at 40 hours per week, with a shift from 8:00am to 4:30pm, on-site in California.

Requires 1+ year of Scheduler/Coordinator experience in a healthcare setting and a high school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is preferred. Duties include registration, scheduling, authorizations, and clerical tasks to support clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• 1+ years of Scheduler/Coordinator experience in healthcare setting/clinic.

Responsibilities

• Obtain insurance information and verify coverage for services.
• Complete authorization and referral process for new and established patients.
• Answer phones, greet patients, route calls to staff, schedule patient appointments.
• Ensure proper and timely patient registration.
• Assist in training of new staff.
• Enter patient charges and reconcile charges as directed.
• Prepare charts and route records to pertinent parties.
• Maintain waiting room presentation and overall office organization.
