Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Christmas Kettle Driver to transport bell ringers, equipment, and donations during the Christmas Campaign. You must be of good character and able to interact with the public in a friendly, compassionate manner.

Responsibilities include moving kettles and materials, conducting site checks, securing funds, and ensuring vehicles are maintained. Local travel is required; temporary position up to 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for fulfilling The Salvation Army mission and articulate it to others.
• Must pass pre-employment background inquiry and annual motor vehicle check with a valid driver’s license.
• Proficient knowledge of roads in the designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Transport Bell Ringers, equipment (kettles, aprons, badges, bells, kettle stands, etc.) and donations to and from kettle sites.
• Provide aprons, badges, kettles, and bells to Bell Ringers. These items are to be collected at the end of each shift.
• Conduct periodical site checks throughout the day to ensure that Bell Ringers are there as assigned.
• Secure monies always.
• Ensure vehicles are cleaned and fueled at the end of each shift.
• Maintain positive work atmosphere through appropriate conflict management, courteous demeanor, and professional and appropriate communication practices.
• Maintain compliance in The Salvation Army’s “Safe from Harm” Certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned as related to Seasonal Christmas activities.
