Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a Christmas Kettle Driver to transport bell ringers, equipment, and donations during the Christmas Campaign. This position requires interaction with the public in a friendly, compassionate manner and adherence to safety protocols.

The role reports to Corps Officer(s) and carries a pay grade 202 with a pay range of $15.75 - $18.90 per hour. Weekend/evening work and a valid driver's license are required. Local travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be articulate in presenting the Salvation Army mission to others.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and annual motor vehicle check.
• Must have valid driver's license and knowledge of local roads in the territory.

Responsibilities

• Transport Bell Ringers, equipment, and donations to and from kettle sites.
• Provide aprons, badges, kettles, and bells to Bell Ringers and secure them after shifts.
• Conduct site checks to ensure Bell Ringers are present as assigned.
• Keep monies secure and ensure vehicles are cleaned and fueled after shifts.
• Maintain a positive, respectful work atmosphere and professional communication.
• Comply with The Salvation Army's Safe from Harm certification.
• Perform other duties related to seasonal Christmas activities.
• Local travel is required.
• Position ranking: temporary status, no more than 90 days.
