Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern CA Division is seeking an OC Christmas Coordinator to support the kettle season at the Tustin Ranch Corps. This temporary full-time role involves recruiting volunteers, scheduling bell ringers, coordinating kettle routes, and ensuring accurate money handling and reporting.

Responsibilities include working with community groups, managing logistics, and assisting with toy distributions and seasonal events.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: At least 21 years old.
• Driver's license with clean MVR.
• Background check required for Protect the Mission policies and procedures.
• California driver’s license, auto insurance and personal transportation.
• Work flexible hours including some weekends and evenings.
• Attention to detail, quality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Recruit kettle workers and ensure proper documentation is submitted to HR for approval.
• Schedule bell ringers at approved locations.
• Coordinate kettle pick-up routes for drivers and ensure kettles are placed safely.
• Review daily income reports to optimize bell ringing.
• Coordinate with volunteers and community groups to schedule sign-ups.
• Work with Finance staff on counting, reporting and banking of funds.
• Ensure kettle income is recorded in the Kettle Program software accurately.
• Assist with pickup of kettles and Christmas toys as needed.
• Ensure all equipment is secured in storage after the season and send thank you letters.
• Prepare a detailed brief for future use and review.
• Conduct daily site visits to oversee bell ringers at kettle locations.
• Coordinate collection and transportation of kettles from fundraising sites.
• Provide logistical support for Christmas and seasonal events at the Tustin Ranch Corps.
• Assist with Toy Distribution Program procurement, organization and distribution.
• Support the registration and intake process for families in the Toy Distribution Program.
• Perform other duties as directed.
