Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California Division is seeking a Kettle Coordinator (Temporary Full-Time) for the Imperial Valley area, based in El Centro, CA. You will support the Corps Officer during the kettle season with various kettle activities and staff supervision.

Responsibilities include coordinating orientations, processing paperwork, recruiting volunteers, scheduling, inventory, deposits, and coordinating Angel Tree and toy donation efforts, with regular attendance and driving duties as

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years clerical experience.
• Must be 21+ to drive; valid Driver’s License.
• Bilingual in Corps location language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct kettle Orientation for employees and volunteers.
• Prepare proper paperwork for all Seasonal Kettle employees.
• Accurately enter all needed information into kettle program employee and campaign related.
• Recruit and assign volunteers and/or service clubs to various kettle locations.
• Prepare kettle schedules daily-assign employees to maximize net income.
• Take inventory of all Kettle equipment and report/replace broken items.
• Prepare Schedule route for Kettle Driver.
• Respond to complaints at kettle locations.
• Supervise, train and discipline employees as required.
• Prepare kettle income for deposit and make bank deposits per TSA policy.
• Arrange for Angel Trees to be set-up in stores.
• Assist with toy donation activities.
• Kettle Driver regularly or as needed.
• Maintain on-time attendance and reliability.
• Other duties related to kettles.
