Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid CA Class C license.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet timelines.
• Strong written and oral communication; draft professional notes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills including multitasking and time management.
• Good judgement and professional conduct; understand Salvation Army goals.
• Reliable, dependable and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Recruit volunteers for bell ringing from churches, clubs, schools and groups.
• Manage all kettle locations and communication across sites.
• Maintain volunteer signups via walk-in, phone and online.
• Keep volunteer records, background checks, and privacy waivers up to date.
• Answer office calls, return messages, and manage emails.
• Schedule kettle deliveries and track sign-outs and kettles.
• Monitor totals for volunteers and update social media regularly.
• Restock kettle supplies and manage labels and signage.
• Assist with counting kettle monies and other kettle duties as assigned.
