Job summary

Pottery Barn in San Francisco is seeking a capable Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales on the shop floor. You will greet customers, answer questions, and process transactions with accuracy while maintaining a welcoming environment that reflects our brand standards.

The role requires 1–2 years of customer service experience, ability to multitask, lift up to 75 lbs, and proficiency with a POS system. Full-time availability including weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a customer service role.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
• Ability to operate POS system.
• Ability to lift and mobilize items up to 75 lbs. with safe techniques.

Responsibilities

• Consistently keep the store energy lively and upbeat for customers and teammates.
• Engage clients at the cash wrap and provide personalized service.
• Perform register/POS transactions, sales, returns, exchanges.
• Communicate product information, care, and delivery timeframes clearly to customers.
• Suggest additional merchandise to complement initial selections.
• Ensure customers are aware of promotions that may impact sales.
• Share information about in-store events and workshops to enhance the experience.
• Maintain visual standards and supplies around the cash wrap area.
