SUMMARY

Chelan County provides temporary housing to migrant workers during peak agricultural seasons. Under the supervision of the Farm Worker Housing Manager, the Seasonal Assistant will support daily operations of the migrant camp at Wenatchee River Park during peak months.

Responsibilities include assisting with financial and administrative tasks, regulatory compliance, maintenance, and facility management. The role requires attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills, reliability, and adaptability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain safe, clean, and compliant living conditions for guests
• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs
• Conduct inspections for health & safety standards
• Coordinate meetings and communication with vendors and the Housing Manager
• Use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for record keeping
• Answer phone inquiries
• Collect rent from guests
• Address minor guest concerns and escalate major issues
• Enforce rules and policies
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE

Full-time, seasonal, Monday – Friday, 1pm – 9pm, from June 1 to November 30.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bilingual in Spanish
• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience managing tenants
• Ability to work independently
• Basic computer skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
• Professional and respectful demeanor
• Preferred: maintenance skills, experience with migrant workers, familiarity with agricultural housing regulations

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Preferred experience with migrant workers and management roles

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Proficient in both English and Spanish, oral and written.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work includes indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and perform physical labor, including lifting up to 25 pounds and using ladders. Vision and hearing must be sufficient for communication and reading tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primarily on-site at Wenatchee River Park, with some travel required. Physical labor involved.
