Job summary

The Salvation Army Seattle Temple Corps is seeking a temporary, non-exempt Christmas Bell Ringer to assist with seasonal fundraising at multiple local sites in Seattle. You will greet donors, operate a kettle, and ensure security of funds while representing the Ministry with courtesy and friendly engagement.

Work is outdoors with shifts up to 40 hours per week, from November through December. Applicants should be at least 17 years old, pass a background check, and be able to stand for extended

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors a kettle at an assigned location; ensures kettle and funds are secure.
• Greets the public in a courteous manner and thanks donors.
• Rings the bell outside to solicit charitable donations in various weather conditions.
• Follow The Salvation Army policies and embody its ministry.
• Relieve the previous volunteer promptly to avoid delays for others.
• Coordinate with the Kettle Coordinator if a shift is missed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
