Job summary

The Salvation Army Vancouver Corps is seeking a Christmas Bell Ringer for a temporary, non-exempt role. You will monitor a kettle at various local sites, greet donors, and follow Salvation Army protocols in outdoor weather conditions.

This seasonal position runs from mid-November through December 24th and requires 17+ years of age and background check clearance. Join us to support the community through holiday fundraising.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum six months related experience preferred.
• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• Must be able to clear a Background Check.
• Complete Bell Ringer Training (by invitation only).

Responsibilities

• Monitors a kettle at an assigned location and ensures it is never left unattended.
• Greets the public in a courteous and friendly manner and expresses appreciation to donors.
• Conducts duties following the ministry of The Salvation Army and its Christian principles.
• Work is performed outside an assigned store and rings the bell for charitable donations in various weather.
• Direct any public mission questions to the Corps phone number.
