Job summary

Castaway is seeking a Bartender Mixologist to elevate the bar experience for an upscale clientele. You will craft cocktails, test new recipes, and ensure flawless service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Mixologist or Bartender in an upscale setting.
• Must be available Friday/Saturday afternoons/evenings and Sunday mornings/afternoons.
• Deep knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, bitters and mixology ingredients.
• Ability to craft unique, balanced cocktails leaving a lasting impression.
• Excellent customer service and guest interaction skills.
• Strong multitasking in a high-paced environment.
• Creativity and passion for innovative cocktails.
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service and local laws.
• Commitment to clean, organized workspaces and flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

As our Bartender Mixologist, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the bar experience for our discerning clientele. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Creating and serving exceptional cocktails that showcase your expertise in mixology.
• Developing and experimenting with new cocktail recipes and innovative techniques.
• Mastering classic cocktails and ensuring their consistent execution.
• Providing guests with an unforgettable experience, offering personalized recommendations, and engaging in lively conversation.
• Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and bar etiquette.
• Collaborating with the bar team to ensure seamless operations during busy hours.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and bringing fresh ideas to the table.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a skilled Mixologist or Bartender, preferably in a renowned cocktail bar or upscale establishment.
• Must be available on Friday and Saturday afternoon/evening and Sunday morning/afternoon
• Deep knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, bitters, and other ingredients used in mixology.
• Demonstrated ability to craft unique and balanced cocktails that leave a lasting impression.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills to engage and interact with guests.
• Strong multitasking abilities and the capability to handle a high-paced environment.
• Creativity and a passion for pushing the boundaries of mixology.
• Understanding of responsible alcohol service and compliance with local laws and regulations.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays are mandatory.
