Job summary

Castaway in Burbank, CA invites a skilled bartender to join our high-volume bar team. You will craft cocktails and beverage pairings, engage guests warmly, and uphold our 5-star hospitality standard.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, whiskey expertise, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Evening and weekend availability is a must, with tips and benefits bundled into the package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bartending in a high-volume establishment
• Strong knowledge of whiskey and other spirits with a passion for mixology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• TIPS or similar certification (can obtain upon hire)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a diverse range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a memorable experience
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of whiskey varieties, including origins, flavor profiles, and pairing suggestions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking inventory and managing supplies
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring responsible service of alcohol at all times
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold Castaway's reputation for excellence and hospitality
• Provide assistance to other team members and perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to walk and stand for hours at a time. Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Balance and walk with heavy trays, dinnerware and drinks full time.
