Job summary

Encore is seeking a Seasonal Audio-Visual Technician in Orlando to set up and operate basic AV systems for hospitality events. The role reports to an Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology and offers full-time seasonal benefits with overtime and hands-on training.

The ideal candidate has customer service experience and some AV exposure; a valid driver’s license is required and lifting up to 50 lbs may be necessary. End date is May 2027.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; an Associate’s degree is preferred.
• External applicants must complete all training and certifications within 60 days.
• Internal applicants must meet Encore’s training/certification requirements.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for vehicle operation.
• DOT requirements may apply if applicable.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown basic audiovisual equipment as scheduled.
• Meet with on-site guests to ensure needs are met and equipment functions properly.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software issues promptly and professionally.
• Complete system entries and equipment sheets; interact with staff and vendors.
• Assist with invoice finalization and potential floor up-selling opportunities.
