Job summary

The Salvation Army in Austin, TX is seeking a Seasonal Angel Tree Coordinator to support the Christmas program from November through December. You will work with corps staff and donors to manage angel adoption, recruit and train volunteers, and coordinate gift orders for distribution and pickup.

You will also maintain volunteer rosters, track program metrics, and prepare reports while ensuring a smooth operation during the peak holiday period.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED and 2 years office experience.
• Seasonal position with orientation day and first day in mid-November.
• Excellent communication, organization and volunteer coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, recruits, screens and selects volunteers for the Christmas Angel Tree Program.
• Posts volunteer listings at malls to ensure staffing at all times.
• Maintains volunteer rosters and records for all locations, written or electronic.
• Recruits replacement volunteers as needed and tracks volunteer attendance.
• Maintains Angel statistics and volunteer deployment across Corps or Area locations.
• Coordinates Angel orders with donors and prepares related materials.
• Assists with client interviewing/database entry and reporting at season end.
