Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Practice Manager for the Skilled Trade Industrial Management (STIM) specialty. The role oversees search and placement services for defined trade job families and develops direct staff to ensure effective execution with client satisfaction and profitability.

You’ll drive acquisitions, guide business development activities, and implement recruiting plans to build a strong candidate pipeline. Leadership experience and a proven ability to grow teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of direct-hire recruiting experience with a track record in manufacturing, logistics, or construction preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented with decisive judgment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, qualify deals, and close opportunities.
• Assertive, ambitious, and able to grow a successful team.
• Proficiency using Google Mail, calendaring, and shared drives.

Responsibilities

• Achieve personal gross profit targets through acquisition of new clients and repeat placements.
• Execute sales and business development activities, including sourcing, client qualification, candidate marketing, rate negotiations, and cross-selling.
• Develop recruiting and marketing plans to build a pipeline of candidates matching focus jobs.
• Research to identify, recruit, screen, and interview candidates for client profiles.
• Lead, coach, and performance-manage direct staff for effective execution.
• Monitor progress, identify opportunities, and develop succession plans.
• Maintain operational standards and profitability by reviewing reports and optimizing processes.
• Protect placements through guarantee periods and post-placement follow-up.

What you need to bring:

• Minimum 5 years of direct hire recruiting experience; background in manufacturing, logistics, or construction industries preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work within a team environment; detail-oriented with strong decision-making skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with hiring manager and client partners
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and to qualify and close deals
• Assertive and ambitious with strong persuasion and negotiation skills
• History of leading and growing a successful team
