Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a seafood team member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the seafood department. You will help ensure a fresh display, accurate pricing, and friendly customer service while following health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include prepping samples, cleaning cases and tools, and assisting with inventory and safety reporting. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to sell proactively.
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Proactively reads labels and familiarizes oneself on various products.
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintains fresh, appealing displays by checking quality and stocking cases.
• Maintains accurate signage and pricing.
• Maintains back stock and a clean, safe working environment.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs and equipment as required.
• Assists with sampling program and keeps sample areas full and clean.
• Skins, bones, and cooks or smokes fish; labels and dates cooked fish.
• Reports safety hazards promptly.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling.
