Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a team member for the seafood department to support counter service, stocking and sanitation. You will help maintain clean cases, ensure fresh displays, and assist with sampling programs while delivering courteous, friendly service to customers and fellow Team Members.

Responsibilities include maintaining signage and pricing, completing opening/closing duties, and following health, safety and Weights & Measures standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to sell proactively.
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Proactively reads labels and familiarizes oneself on various products.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensures fresh and appealing display by checking quality, stocking, rotating products and removing out-of-date items.
• Maintains department signage and pricing and back stock.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized working/shopping environment.
• Assists with sampling program and keeps sample areas clean and appealing.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and reports safety hazards.
