Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Seafood Specialist to lead the seafood department, ensuring product freshness, accurate placement, and safe handling. You will own seafood inventory accuracy, rotation standards, and presentation, while supporting guest engagement and promotions.

This role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and exemplary service. A minimum of 2 years in retail or grocery settings and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seafood freshness and quality with proper rotation and dating.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with leadership on ordering and replenishment of seafood items.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness; ensure proper receiving and storage.
• Play a key role in compliance during item transitions and promotions.
• Support front-end operations as cashier or in other areas during peak times.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
