Job summary

#1 Paola is seeking a Seafood/Meat Clerk to deliver excellent customer service while helping customers select seafood and meat items. You will cut, clean and prepare products to meet customer specifications and maintain a clean, organized department.

The role requires friendly, proactive interactions with customers, adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Experience in retail or food service is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Prior experience in retail or food service preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Use selling skills and merchandising programs to enhance customer interaction and sales.
• Provides polite friendly greetings and interacts with all customers as they approach the department.
• Prepares knife-ready products for sale (slice, trim, wrap, weigh and price) according to our standards.
• Assists in product receiving, inventory and storage.
• Stocks and rotates frozen items, prepared meats and fresh meat/seafood in sales area.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers and sales floor.
• Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• Communicates customers requests/concerns to management.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
