Job summary

The Seafood/Meat Service Clerk provides exceptional customer service and assists customers with seafood and meat selections, including cutting, cleaning and preparing items to customers' specifications. A friendly, product‑savvy presence helps drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction in a fast-paced department.

Responsibilities include preparing knife-ready products, receiving and stocking inventory, maintaining sanitation standards, and communicating customer needs to management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Prior work experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Use selling skills and merchandising programs to enhance customer interaction and achieve maximum sales.
• Provide polite friendly greetings and interact with all customers.
• Prepare knife-ready products for sale (slice, trim, wrap, weigh and price) according to our standards.
• Assist in product receiving, inventory and storage.
• Stock and rotates frozen items, prepared meats and fresh meat/seafood in sales area.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards in all meat/seafood prep areas, coolers, freezers and sales floor.
• Maintain high quality and freshness with products available for sale; ensure all products are in date.
• Communicate customer requests/concerns to management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
