Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a well-stocked and appealing seafood area, greet customers, provide suggestions, and offer information on seafood preparation. Take orders for delivery and assist with special requests. Address customer concerns promptly and courteously.
• Set up displays, rotate products, ensure seafood freshness, proper pricing, and signage. Handle spoiled or damaged products according to company standards.
• Weigh, wrap, and label merchandise, maintain logs for freshness and quality, and adhere to safety codes when handling products.
• Ensure sanitation of the department by following cleaning schedules and health regulations. Properly dispose of trash.
• Assist with inventory control through proper ordering, minimizing losses, and reporting shortages or overages.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries if trained. Training provided.
• Assist with related duties like baling cardboard if trained. Training provided.
• Cooperate with team members to ensure smooth department and store operation. Strive to improve job performance.
• Utilize all provided PPE, including cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and footwear.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications
