Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintain a well-stocked and appealing seafood department, greeting customers, offering suggestions, and providing seafood preparation information.
2. Set up displays, rotate products, ensure freshness, proper pricing, and signage; manage spoiled or near-expiry products according to company standards.
3. Weigh, wrap, and label merchandise; maintain logs for freshness and quality; adhere to safety codes when handling products.
4. Ensure sanitation of the department by following cleaning schedules and health regulations; dispose of trash properly.
5. Assist with inventory management, including proper ordering, minimizing losses, and reporting shortages or overages.
6. Support receiving and storing deliveries, including operating equipment if trained; training provided.
7. Assist with related tasks such as baling cardboard, if trained; training provided.
8. Contribute to department and store operations through teamwork and continuous improvement.
9. Utilize all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure safety.
10. Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications
