Baldor Specialty Foods, Inc. seeks a Seafood Cutter to process whole fish into filets and portions in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment. You’ll distinguish species, portion seafood to spec, and maintain quality control for customer orders.

The role requires 1–2 years of fish processing, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to reliability. Join a team delivering premium ingredients to top restaurants and institutions.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years of recent fish processing experience
• Must be able to work 8+ hours per day, 6 days a week in a refrigerated environment
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for long periods of time
• Must be able to regularly lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs
• Requires repetitive motions using hands, arms, legs and back
• Must be an expert in the handling of knives and other sharp tools
• Must be able to sharpen and hone knives and maintain equipment
• Prompt and regular attendance is required

Responsibilities

• Prepare fish and other seafood products by cutting, filleting, and portioning.
• Monitor the quality and freshness of products,
• Process seafood into portions within a specific variance.
• Be able to distinguish multiple different types of seafood.
