Job summary

ShopRite of Shrewsbury, NJ, is seeking a Seafood Manager to lead the Seafood Department and its Associates. You will direct all functions to achieve sales, profit, customer experience, and engagement goals, under the direction of the General Store Manager.

Essential duties include safety compliance, training, staffing, and customer service excellence, while maintaining proper pricing, display, and inventory standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift 60 lbs.
• Ability to work with products without negative allergic consequences.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with time and attendance policies.
• Ability to engage and lead Associates to achieve department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Seafood Department and its Associates to achieve department goals in sales, profit, Customer Experience, and Associate Engagement.
• Lead Associates to work cooperatively while encouraging enthusiasm and loyalty.
• Maintain department safety, presentation, and efficiency standards across all duties.
• Ensure proper staffing, training, performance feedback, and adherence to policies.
• Perform duties in accordance with company safety and regulatory requirements.
