Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Seafood Department Lead in Phoenix to oversee all functions of the Seafood department, ensuring outstanding customer service and a safe, clean environment. You will work closely with store management to implement business plans and achieve sales and profit goals while maintaining quality standards.

You will train staff, manage scheduling, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations, product knowledge, and proper cutting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates by communicating store goals and job-specific information.
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve department goals.
• Establish performance goals for the seafood department and empower staff to meet targets.
• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
• Train and develop associates on performance and participate in appraisals.
• Adhere to all laws and company guidelines.
• Provide knowledge about products, offer samples, and inform customers of specials.
• Cut seafood to customers’ requests using proper equipment and provide desired items.
• Prepare foods according to temperatures and cooking instructions.
• Partner with management to implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Inform associates about promotions and seasonal campaigns.
• Monitor expenses and assist in budget, P&L reviews.
