Job summary

ShopRite of Broadway and East 53rd St in Elmwood Park, NJ is seeking a Seafood Manager to lead the Seafood Department, supervise Associates, and drive sales, quality, and customer experience. You will oversee daily operations, training, and compliance with food safety standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

As a Seafood Manager, you will ensure safety, proper product handling, and exceptional customer service while maintaining department standards and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to supervise and engage Associates to achieve department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Seafood Department and its Associates to achieve department goals.
• Maintain safety, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Lead Associates to provide a positive Customer Experience and teamwork.
• Ensure proper stocking, labeling, and display of seafood products.
• Monitor temperature logs and production sheets; ensure accuracy of records.
• Provide training, development plans, and feedback to Associates.
