Job summary

Daytona State College is seeking a part-time Student IT Support worker. You will troubleshoot and repair computers, printers, monitors, and related operating systems, while interacting with administrators, faculty and staff to ensure timely IT service under supervision.

The role requires enrollment in at least 6 credits, meeting SAP or a minimum 2.0 GPA, and submission of your resume and current course schedule. Work hours are up to 20 per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits.
• Must meet SAP or have a minimum 2.0 GPA.
• Transient and Dual Enrollment students are not eligible for student employment.
• Applicants must submit resume and current course schedule to complete application.
• Degree in Computer Technology is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot/repair computers, printers, monitors and related operating systems.
• Interact with Daytona State College's administrators, faculty and staff to ensure prompt delivery of services under supervision.
• Assist Field Tech Team with other duties as needed.
• Report IT-related issues to supervisor as needed.

Job description

• Must currently be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), or a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.
• Transient and Dual Enrollment students are in eligible for student employment.

• Trouble-shoot/repair computers, printers, monitors and related computer operating systems.
• Interact with DSC's administrators, faculty and staff to ensure prompt delivery of services and respond to needs under supervisor’s guidance.
• Assist Field Tech Team with other duties relevant to the position as needed.
• Report, as needed, to supervisor any Information Technology related issues that may arise

• Pursuant of a degree in any Computer Technology field is preferred, but not necessary.
• Have basic computer skills with knowledge of taking components out of computer, and troubleshooting/diagnosing the troubled part.
• Must be able to communicate well with students and staff.
• Must have the ability to understand oral and written instructions without hesitance.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds when required
• Must have reliable transportation.
