Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Agriculture, or related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in product hazard classifications and SDS authoring.
• Able to interpret technical data and apply weight of evidence for classifications.
• Willingness to learn about fertilizers, adjuvants, pesticides, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication with technical teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and email.

Responsibilities

• Assess chemical hazard classifications and author SDS documents per GHS and country rules.
• Maintain SDS inventories and access systems for Nutrien products.
• Interpret lab reports and validate classifications based on evidence.
• Develop and maintain weight-of-evidence files for designations.
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting North American SDSs.
• Gather product information and raw material SDSs for documentation.
• Review and refine SDS drafts with a safety-focused approach.
• Support internal advisory services on hazard reduction options.
