Job summary

Nutrien is seeking an experienced SDS authoring and hazard classification professional to assess products and prepare Safety Data Sheets across our North American portfolio.

You will interpret technical data, maintain classification files, and ensure regulatory compliance, collaborating with R&D and regulatory teams to support safe product use. Remote work options exist, with compensation tied to location and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Agriculture, or related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in product hazard classifications and SDS authoring.
• Ability to interpret technical data and apply weight of evidence decisions.
• Aptitude for progressive learning in fertilizers, adjuvants, and pesticides.

Responsibilities

• Assess chemical hazard classifications for products and mixtures per GHS and country rules.
• Author and maintain SDS documents using SDS generation software.
• Ensure SDSs meet EPA, SARA, IARC, and Prop 65 designations and warnings.
• Interpret lab reports to refine hazard designations and take follow-up actions.
• Maintain internal SDS site and supporting product documentation.
