Job summary

Nutrien is seeking an Advisor, Chemical Hazard & SDS Author, Product Stewardship to support SDS authoring and hazard classification across multiple U.S. sites. The role emphasizes GHS alignment, regulatory interpretation, and maintaining SDS inventories and access systems.

Responsibilities include information gathering, reviewing lab data, and ensuring proper warning statements. The ideal candidate has chemistry-related education, 3+ years of SDS experience, and strong writing and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Agriculture, or related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of practical experience in product hazard classifications and SDS authoring.
• Ability to interpret technical data and apply weight of evidence decisions.
• Experience with SDS generation software preferable.
• Travel 0-10%.

Responsibilities

• Assess chemical hazard classifications for new and existing products.
• Author and maintain SDS documents for Nutrien products.
• Review regulatory designations and ensure correct SDS statements.
• Interpret lab data and follow up on classification decisions.
• Maintain weight-of-evidence files and monitor regulatory changes.
• Ensure SDS designations comply with EPA, SARA, IARC, and Proposition 65.
