Job summary

Nutrien is seeking an Advisor, Chemical Hazard & SDS Author, Product Stewardship to assess hazard classifications, author SDSs, and manage SDS inventories. This full-time, remote-ready role supports NA regulatory requirements and safety programs across multiple US locations.

Responsibilities include reviewing lab data, maintaining weight-of-evidence files, and collaborating with R&D and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate hazard designations and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Agriculture, or related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years in product hazard classifications and SDS authoring.
• Ability to interpret technical data and apply weight of evidence to classify.
• Willingness to learn about fertilizers, adjuvants, pesticides, etc.
• Effective written and verbal communication; interacts with technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess chemical hazard classifications per GHS for products and mixtures.
• Author and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) using SDS software.
• Ensure regulatory designations and warnings on SDS and related docs.
• Interpret lab reports and follow up on hazard designations.
• Develop and maintain weight-of-evidence files and track regulatory changes.
• Maintain internal SDS inventories and documentation.
• Collaborate with R&D on chemical reactions and safety outputs.
• Support internal advisory services on product hazard reduction.
