Job summary

Astranis, a California-based satellite communications company, seeks a Software Defined Radio Hardware Intern for Summer 2027. You will design, simulate, implement and test SDR hardware, bringing up hardware in lab with top instruments.

This twelve-week, hourly internship is for students enrolled in a four-year university. Past interns contributed to hardware/software now flying on our first satellite; exceptional performers may join as associates.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on hardware development experience.
• Ability to design, build, and test PCBA hardware from scratch.
• Strong fundamentals in mixed-signal and RF design.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, implement, and test software defined radio hardware.
• Bring up hardware in the lab and debug with instruments.
• Write code to evaluate performance and automate testing.
• Integrate systems with spacecraft teams.
